[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]More than 40 representatives from the ministries of education from 18 European Union member states attended the workshop and discussed how to provide quality and systematic support to higher education teachers to be digitally competent and self-confident in teaching in an open and innovative way. The hosts of the workshop were the University Computing Centre SRCE and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n
During a two-day workshop, the participants discussed the following issues:
\n1.\u00a0What digital skills and competences are needed for teachers in the higher education system to advance in the rapidly evolving digital society and economy?
\n2.\u00a0How much do the state bodies and institutions in the higher education system support the continuous improvement of teachers in the higher education system through policies, strategies and concrete measures?
\n3.\u00a0How to ensure the best support for teachers in implementing open educational content in higher education?
\nAt the workshop a new European framework for digital competences of educators, recently published by the European Commission, was presented.<\/p>\n
One of the speakers at the Workshop was a member of the Educa-T Working group, professor Aleksandra \u010ci\u017eme\u0161ija, PhD, who presented the Educa-T project and its outcomes.
