Emphasis on developing and upgrading of competences for academic teaching

3rd Educa-T workshop and 4th meeting of the Educa-T Working Group

The third Educa-T workshop and the fourth meeting of the Working Group of the project “Emphasis on developing and upgrading of competences for academic teaching – Educa-T” took place on 21 April 2017 at the Ministry of Science and Education.

The Working Group of the Educa-T project is responsible for making recommendations on the quality of teaching and learning in Croatian higher education, as well as for preparing the national profile of competences and the curriculum framework for improving the competences of teachers in higher education.

The third workshop for the Working Group members was held under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Vlasta Vizek Vidović. During the workshop, the Working Group finished its work on the competence profile for higher education teachers and has started working on the curriculum planning.

At the fourth meeting of the Working Group all participants were informed about the upcoming activities.

The PLA on Validation of Learning Outcomes and Educating Educators will be held on 11-12 May, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka, a study trip to Sweden is organised from 14 until 19 May 2017 and the first meeting of the focus group responsible for preparing the competence profile will be held at the J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek.

The members of the Working Group have been informed about the conference “Srce, Days of e-Infrastructure”, that took place on 5 April 2017, organised by the University Computing Centre of the University of Zagreb. The conference was used by the project team as an opportunity to present the Educa-T project and expected project results. The feedback from the conference was very positive. The participants welcomed the project idea and are waiting for the results with anticipation.

At the meeting, the members of the Working Group also discussed topics and issues related to the study trip to Sweden and the protocol for the focus groups in Osijek.

The fourth workshop and the fifth meeting of the Working Group will be held on 9 June 2017 in Split.
